Q. What is FAAM?
FAAM stands for Foster, Adoption & Advocacy Ministry.
Q. Is there really a need for this?
Yes! More than 135,000 children are available for foster care and adoption in the United
States alone. There are 5.5 million orphans in Africa, 3.5 million orphans in Asia, 1.5 million
orphans in Eastern Europe, 400,000 orphans in Latin America. The numbers are growing daily!
Q. What can we do to help?
Come and listen! The foster, adoption, and child advocacy process can seem overwhelming.
This event will feature reputable industry professionals. Join us, ask questions, and explore
the many options of foster, adoption, and helping children and youth in a safe and
comfortable setting.
Q. Is there a fee for the seminar?
No. It’s free. Registration is required in order for us to plan for refreshments and materials.
Q. Who are the presenters?
Representatives from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency (NJ DCPP)
from Essex and Morris counties, and other for-life, foster care, adoption and family service
agencies will be on hand. You will also have the opportunity to hear from Christ Church
members who are adoptive or foster parents.
Q. Is childcare provided?
We cannot accommodate childcare during this seminar.
